Thyen SimAngus is a small family operation that has been raising cattle since 1974.

Ron and Dianne Thyen started the farm in 1974. The family farm sits between Hayti & Castlewood in South Dakota. Mike, and fiancée Patty, live a few miles southeast of the farm; Eva lives a mile east; and Kathryn lives in Castlewood with her husband Steven and their two daughters, Aralyn and Gianna.

Thyen SimAngus primarily uses Simmental and Angus genetics and are raising breeding stock along with finishing out, all of the calves.

The families, at Thyen SimAngus, are very excited for the future of the cattle industry and hope to meet many new people and make friendships along the way!
